Flagship was a general publisher that put out books in 1967/68. There were a few risqué titles, but nothing overtly sexual-oriented. This cover art is attributed to Irving Sloane. Ken Johnson sent me these scans. The one on the left is from his collection, and lacks the publisher's name, colophon and book number. The one on the right is from the collection of Victor Berch. Ken says both books' interiors are identical (both are stated 2nd printings). The thing that caught Ken's eye was the black bars with writing, which are positioned almost as if they're hiding something ... and, of course, they're not. |
